Refund policy

Last updated: February 2026

Overview

Ibtiaath Ltd is committed to fairness and transparency. We act as an intermediary between students and universities — we do not control admission decisions. Our refund policy reflects that role and is designed to be fair to all parties. Please read it carefully before making any purchase. This policy does not affect any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under applicable law.

Refund eligibility by service

University admission applications

  • Cancellation before work begins: 90% refund. A 10% administrative fee is retained to cover initial processing costs.
  • Cancellation after work begins but before submission: 50% refund.
  • Application rejected due to an error on our side: full refund (100%) with no administrative deduction.
  • Application rejected because the student did not meet the requirements: 70% refund. 30% is retained as an administrative fee. Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the official rejection notice.
  • After an offer of admission has been issued: no refund.

Translation and attestation services

  • Cancellation before work begins: 90% refund.
  • After translation or attestation is complete: no refund, as the service has been delivered in full.

Flight booking services

  • Refund eligibility depends on the airline's fare rules and the booking conditions applicable at the time of booking. We will tell you clearly whether a booking is refundable before confirming it.
  • Our flight booking service fee is non-refundable once the booking is confirmed.

A service Ibtiaath did not deliver

If we are unable to deliver a paid service for reasons within our control:

  • A full refund (100%) is issued within 14 business days of confirming non-delivery.
  • No fees are deducted in this case.

Non-refundable cases

No refund will be issued in the following cases:

  • After a university offer of admission has been issued to the student.
  • Where the student submitted fraudulent, forged or materially misleading documents or information, leading to rejection of the application or failure of the service.
  • Where the student failed to provide the required documents or information within the agreed deadlines, causing a delay to the service or rejection of the application.
  • For services that have been completed and delivered in full, except as set out under “Refund eligibility by service” above.
  • Where the refund request is submitted more than 60 days after the original payment date, except where a statutory right to a refund applies.
  • Fees paid directly to universities, embassies, government bodies or other third-party institutions — these are outside our control and cannot be refunded through Ibtiaath.

Chargebacks and payment disputes

We reserve the right to contest chargebacks where we hold evidence that the service was correctly delivered in accordance with these terms.

Consumer rights

This policy does not limit any statutory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence. In particular, if you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you may have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) or applicable EU consumer protection regulations. Where statutory rights provide greater protection than this policy, those rights take precedence.
